Hiring Bunting

We know that people love the vintage look of beautiful buntings, but spending days in front of a sewing machine and hundreds of dollars on fabrics just isn’t always practical. That’s why we offer a wide range of buntings for hire.

All our buntings are 100% cotton, handmade and finished to the highest standard.

We love hearing about your event in detail and we’re always more than happy to offer any suggestions. If you can’t find what you are looking for then please talk to us about your ideas and we will do our best to accommodate them where we can.

If you like to have a look at the bunting before going ahead you can always come and view our bunting before you make a booking.

Our Hire Process

Via email, phone, carrier pigeon, whatever works for you. We’ll have a chat about what you need and then send you a quote.

We’ll send you an invoice for the bunting hire, to be paid at least 2 full business days before your required delivery date via bank transfer or Pay Pal. A refundable deposit will be included in this payment. As well as the invoice you’ll receive a hire agreement and our terms and conditions of hire.

We will courier your bunting anywhere in Victoria, or to other parts of Australia by arrangement. If you’d prefer you can also pick up your bunting from A Few of My Favourite Strings in Brunswick.

Once your event has finished you’ll need to return the bunting by courier or in person to A Few Of My Favourite Strings. Couriers are part of the hire fee. We’ll just need you to be clear on a time and place for the courier to pick it up from.

Once the bunting has been received and checked, we will return your deposit via bank transfer right away.

Is it easy to hang and Join?

Our bunting comes pressed and concertina folded allowing you to easily unfold and hang the bunting straight from the packaging.

Each 5 metre length of bunting has short ends that can be linked together with metal hooks for a discreet join. This system enables you to create 10, 15, 20+ metre lengths without messy bows disrupting the seamless flow of the bunting.

We also provide one metre cotton ties for attaching buntings to poles, hooks and trees. These ties can also be joined to the bunting using the brass rings. The cotton ties will be colour coordinated to match your bunting.

Should you run out of cotton ties you can use cable ties, pegs, ribbon or string, but please do not use glue, staples or sticky tape to attach the bunting as this may mark or discolour the bunting which may result in partial or full loss of your deposit.
